Recording
Call Recording can be configured a number of ways, but there are two basic categories.
For hosted/server based recordings Click here. Also look at Data Sheets here for general information and specific vertical markets or industries.
For Polycom Phone Top Recording, you are in the right place at the right time.
This feature is available on certain Polycom Soundpoint IP devices, including the 650, 670, and the VVX 1500. The recordings are managed solely by the user. Recordings are saved on a local USB drive plugged into the back of the phone.
The 650 needs a productivity license from Polycom. Call your Account Rep for details. Once you have the license, you simply plug in the approved USB device in the USB slot on the phone. The phone will recognize the device and let you know how much USB storage time you have available on the drive. You start recording a call by pressing a few keys and you can record a portion of a call. To listen, email, and archive you can simply remove the device from the phone and insert it into any computer and move the file. It will be a .wav file. If the conversation was in HD, the recording will also be in HD.
HOW TO:
While on a call, press the soft key labeled More.
Press the softkey labeled Record.
Press the softkey labeled Start.
You can now stop or pause the recording as needed.
