As one of the principal founders of the company, Monty is uniquely positioned to lead Broadcore. He provides the strategic vision at Broadcore, and oversees the day to day operations of the organization. Involved in the telecom industry since 1985, Monty helped build a major provider of premises-based voice communications systems. In 2004 Monty built the first hosted voice communications (IP PBX) infrastructure in Los Angeles which quickly advanced to provide a full array of hosted unified communications solutions with deployments in US, Canada and over 20 International locations.
Monty designed and implemented one of the first business class VoIP connections in California in 1996 between his offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He also developed and taught the first VoIP technology course at UCLA, and continues to teach at UCLA on a regular basis. He served as a member of the data communications advisory board at UCLA in 2007.
Monty currently serves as a board member at the American Red Cross in Santa Monica, California. He is an accomplished digital photographer, and lives with his wife and teenaged children in southern California.
David is responsible for Broadcore’s finance and operations. In this capacity, he oversees Broadcore’s day-to-day operations in finance and accounting, human resources, logistics, and contract administration, as well as driving the profitability measures for the company. David is also responsible for legal compliance with various institutions including the FCC. David’s motivation and a keen sense of instituting a system of checks and balances has ensured the success and financial health of Broadcore as the company has grown from a startup to a major provider of hosted unified communications solutions.
David holds a BS in engineering, and lives in southern California with his wife and children.
Dean oversees marketing and strategic activities at Broadcore. He is responsible for strategic planning, business process automation, corporate communications, and ensuring that the company’s product portfolio matches the market’s strategic direction.
Prior to his current post, Dean served Broadcore as SVP of service delivery and technical operations responsible for design, integration, implementation, support, and maintenance. He started his professional career as an electrical engineer at Teledyne.
Dean holds a BSEE, and received an MBA from Pepperdine University. He enjoys hiking, soccer, and skiing, and lives with his wife and two sons in southern California.
Michael oversees Broadcore’s direct and indirect sales efforts. Charged with building the Broadcore customer base throughout the country, and solidifying its reputation as the leading provider of hosted unified communications solutions, Michael brings a strong consultative customer-centric background into his responsibilities. Michael began his career in telephony as sales manager, general manager, and CEO of Bay Area Teleport, and followed with a successful stint as EVP of Linkatel, a partnership led by Time Warner, and as VP for Brooks Fiber where he oversaw the development of the San Jose, Fresno and Bakersfield markets.
Michael is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, and enjoys sport fishing, flying, and exploring the state of Texas.
John oversees technical support and delivery of Broadcore’s unified communications services, service delivery platform, and the ever-growing roster of the company’s products with an eye toward increasing customer productivity and satisfaction.
John has more than 15 years of experience in IT and Business VoIP technology development and support. Prior to Broadcore, he ran his own IT and VoIP consulting firm, and worked in a number of high-ranking IT managerial positions, and as a consultant for the Fortune 500 customers of ZEFER, a Boston-based Internet consulting firm. He has also held various IT management and operational positions in higher education, the federal government, and private sector companies.
John is a graduate of Georgetown University, and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and son. He enjoys hiking on the trails near his home, and is an avid cook with some experience brewing beer and roasting coffee.
Matt leads a team of project managers, project engineers, project coordinators, and carrier coordinators, in order to ensure proper and timely deployment of Broadcore’s solutions for the company’s customer base. Matt and his teams are responsible for implementation, provisioning and delivering of Broadcore’s services, and pride themselves in seamless and quick deployment of Broadcore’s rapidly expanding unified communications solutions.
Prior to this, Matt held engineering and project management positions at Nextcom, a provider of IP PBX technologies.
Matt holds a BS in engineering, enjoys basketball, skiing, and golf, and lives in southern California with his wife and young son. He is the identical twin of Alan Pourafzal, Broadcore’s VP of Customer Support (luckily, the Broadcore staff has learned to tell them apart).
Alan is responsible for Broadcore’s customer service, technical support, and new customer training activities. Alan and his staff take pride in providing personal attention to Broadcore customers with quick and detailed response to ensure utmost customer satisfaction. Prior to Broadcore, Alan was the director of customer service and technical support for Nextcom, a provider of IP PBX technologies, and an engineer at a Los Angeles Interconnect Company serving small to midsized businesses.
Alan holds a BS in engineering, and enjoys basketball (go Lakers!), and traveling to resort destinations with his wife and two sons. He is the identical twin of Matt Pourafzal, Broadcore’s VP of Service Implementation and Delivery (yes, we can tell them apart – can you?!).
